Marin Garcia

Marin supports the internal operations, grantmaking and team culture at Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation. As operations coordinator, she manages systems, coordinates cross-functional work, and ensures a smooth and efficient office environment.

With five years of experience across the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors, she facilitated program and office operations for several Bay Area organizations dedicated to educational equity, workforce development and economic mobility: Friends of the Children-SF Bay Area, The Education Trust-West, Civicorps and Tipping Point Community. Opportunities to strengthen the operational backbone of organizations motivate Marin because they make it possible for her, her colleagues and grantees to focus on the people and communities they champion.

Marin earned her associate's degree in general studies from Portland Community College and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2021 with her bachelor’s degree in political science. Outside of work, she is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, a dedicated plant parent, and a loyal fan of the Golden State Warriors.
